EuroMillions player from Belgium wins record-breaking jackpot.
A Belgian EuroMillions participant was very lucky a couple days ago. He won a big prize of 32 million euros! However, there was a second winner who also had a ticket with five correct numbers and two correct stars. Because of this the Belgian player didn’t win the full prize of 65 million euros, although we guess won’t be very disappointed about this.
Millions because of two correct stars
EuroMillions is known for its big Jackpots, and 65 million euros is a good example of that. The two recent winners will divide the big prize. The participant who had the lucky ticket with all the correct numbers takes home 32,676,843 euros to be precisely, while the other player with five correct numbers has won 116,990. Way less than all these millions, because he or she only had 1 correct star instead of two.
The winning EuroMillions numbers were 7,19, 20, 28 and 29 with the winning stars 1 and 5. The identity of the winning Belgian participant is not known because of privacy reasons. We also don’t know where he or she lives and in which place the ticket was bought. It’s not the largest Belgian win in EuroMillions history by the way. A participant who took home 168 million euros currently holds this record. This historic win took place on October 11, 2016.
Historic EuroMillions wins
The Jackpots of 2016 and 2019 are not the only ones that have written EuroMillions history. In it’s fifteen years of existence, the lottery has stunned the world many times. For example, in 2012 a British couple won 190 million euros and so did a Portuguese player in 2014. 190 million is also the maximum amount of Jackpot money in this lottery, so buying a ticket is definitely worth it!
